The Master of Public Health (MPH) program equips students with comprehensive academic training, hands-on experience, and interdisciplinary learning to tackle contemporary public health issues. Starting in the 2020-2021 academic year, the MPH curriculum features six foundational courses completed collectively by all first-year students. Additionally, students take specialized courses aligned with their chosen focus areas. The core curriculum emphasizes ethical considerations, health equity, global and community perspectives, effective communication, systems analysis, leadership development, and translating research into practice.
The Health Services MPH track develops competencies in: factors influencing health outcomes, healthcare system dynamics, health policy formulation and analysis, organizational management, health improvement strategies, and assessment techniques. Mandatory courses concentrate on management, policy, or health economics, while residential students can pursue optional specializations in health policy, social/behavioral sciences, or maternal and child health.
