Before starting the program, MPH students will consult with the Associate Director to select their specialized track, develop a study roadmap, secure an Academic Advisor, and enroll in classes. This academic roadmap serves as a strategic guide for efficiently fulfilling all MPH degree requirements. Working alongside their Academic Advisor, students tailor their plan with personalized learning objectives that extend beyond the core curriculum, encompassing specialized, interdisciplinary, or cross-cutting competencies. These defined objectives inform students' choices when selecting five elective courses (for Generalist track students) or discipline-specific courses for global or environmental health concentrations. The Capstone project, serving as the program's culminating experience, will assess students' mastery of these competencies as a key component of degree completion.
