The Master of Jurisprudence (M.J.) program caters to professionals without a law background who want to gain legal expertise for their careers. Those pursuing law-related fields will develop practical, valuable legal knowledge that strengthens their qualifications across various industries. With just four requirements—three core courses plus a major research project—students can tailor their education. Our M.J. faculty collaborates with each student to design an individualized curriculum. You can also explore relevant courses outside the law school. For working professionals, part-time enrollment and flexible class schedules help balance career, studies, and law school engagement. Experiential learning opportunities include externships with innovative local businesses or nonprofits.
