Our seven Master of Laws (LL.M.) programs concentrate on key contemporary and complex legal fields for practicing attorneys. Tailored for both international law graduates and U.S. J.D. holders, UW Law's LL.M. offerings enable legal practitioners to enhance their expertise and broaden their skills. Students benefit from UW Law's Seattle location, immersing themselves in the city's dynamic professional landscape while participating in initiatives that nurture tomorrow's legal leaders. With six focused concentrations plus a flexible General LL.M. option, participants customize their curriculum to align with career aspirations and personal goals. After completing foundational courses, learners diversify their education through specialized electives spanning multiple disciplines, with opportunities to enroll in courses across UW's other schools.

The Taxation LL.M. program goes beyond tax law instruction - we develop skilled tax practitioners. In today's increasingly globalized and complex economy, tax attorneys require comprehensive knowledge to represent both private clients and organizations. Established in 1995, our program remains committed to delivering rigorous technical training and practical tax law applications. We equip students with cutting-edge tax planning competencies across all domains - federal, state/local, international, and estate/gift/trust taxation.
