The P-12 EdPOL Ph.D. program equips students to conduct research, demonstrate leadership, advocate for change, and drive innovation to tackle critical challenges in education systems. Our mission focuses on promoting fair learning access and outcomes for all students, spanning early childhood to K-12 and beyond into higher education, while prioritizing the reduction of inequities tied to race, socioeconomic status, language, ability, and other identity factors. We investigate these urgent issues using diverse research approaches such as qualitative, quantitative, mixed-method, and design-based studies. Through partnerships with communities, educational institutions, districts, and government agencies, we shape impactful research. Our goal is to produce scholarship that enhances educational practices and policies while expanding theoretical understanding of policy, leadership, and organizational dynamics in education.
