Anthropology students can pursue either a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree. These programs differ in their academic focus and structure. The BA provides a comprehensive introduction to Anthropology as a field, particularly suited for those interested in its humanistic aspects. The BS, on the other hand, allows for specialization in scientific areas of Anthropology.
Both degrees open doors to diverse career paths and advanced education, including graduate studies in health sciences (medicine, public health, physical therapy), law, social justice work, and anthropological research.
Students pursuing the BS in Anthropology can specialize through the Medical Anthropology and Global Health track.
This concentration often leads to advanced studies and careers in healthcare fields like public health, epidemiology, nursing, medicine, and global health. Anthropology's liberal arts foundation is widely regarded as excellent preparation for these professional paths.
