The Law, Economics & Public Policy (LEPP) program equips students to examine how legal frameworks impact policymaking and the socioeconomic factors driving legislative development. This interdisciplinary major offers foundational knowledge in both economics and political science while teaching analytical approaches to legal and policy challenges. The LEPP program blends academic theory with hands-on learning through practical courses, undergraduate research projects, community engagement initiatives, and internship possibilities - including opportunities to participate in the UW Bothell Policy Journal. Consistent with all IAS programs, LEPP cultivates essential skills in innovative problem-solving, cross-disciplinary inquiry, cooperative leadership, and effective communication.
