The Art Division provides a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Art with four specialized tracks. Following foundational art courses, students choose and fulfill requirements for concentrations in Interdisciplinary Visual Arts, Painting and Drawing, Photo/Media, or 3D4M (ceramics, glass, and sculpture). Alongside essential studio art classes, students enhance their writing abilities through art history coursework. Senior students culminate their studies with capstone projects, typically showcased in one of our six student exhibition spaces. This program emphasizes experiential, hands-on education that fosters innovation and analytical skills. Visual arts education cultivates crucial competencies in problem-solving, written communication, and public presentation. It builds technical expertise, encourages teamwork, and enhances visual interpretation skills. Such training opens doors to numerous rewarding career paths. Our graduates demonstrate how art majors can excel across diverse professional fields and entrepreneurial ventures.
