The M.C.S. program is coursework-focused, yet students have the opportunity and are actively encouraged to undertake a significant research project.
The Master of Computer Science (M.C.S.) provides two distinct pathways:
M.C.S. (coursework) concentrates solely on classroom instruction without any independent research component.
M.C.S. (project) includes a research component where students work independently under faculty supervision, with research intensity equivalent to one standard academic course.
Upon admission to the M.C.S. program, each student receives an academic advisor. Those choosing the M.C.S. (project) track will have their research supervisor assume the academic advising role.
