The international economics specialization caters to driven students passionate about worldwide economic policies. Required courses ECON 4210 and ECON 4220 build fundamental skills in statistical analysis and theories of global trade and macroeconomics. Students can then focus their studies through electives in economic growth (ECON 4230, 4610) or regional economics (ECON 3630, 3640, 4410). This concentration pairs well with overseas study programs or a Foreign Affairs degree. Alumni have pursued careers with international agencies, graduate studies in global affairs or public administration, legal education, and business programs.
