The Early Childhood Special Education/Early Intervention program equips graduates to support infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with developmental challenges and their families. For children from birth to age three, home-based early intervention services focus on family-centered care. Multidisciplinary teams collaborate with parents and young children to promote developmental growth and participation in daily family life. Preschool special educators serve in inclusive or specialized settings as lead teachers, co-teachers, or traveling specialists, partnering with general education teachers and families to deliver tailored instruction that helps children with special needs thrive within standard preschool programs and activities.

Qualification Requirements
A bachelor's degree from a regionally-accredited U.S. college or university or from an institution recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education in their home country. The Office of International Admissions will determine if applicants with international degrees meet the Graduate School's requirement of a recognized Bachelor's degree.
Submit Official Transcripts directly to the University Graduate School Admissions for ALL colleges/universities you have attended.
Three Letters of Recommendation
At least a 3.0 or higher undergraduate weighted mean GPA on a 4.0 scale. If the undergraduate GPA is below 3.0, a GPA will be calculated for the last two years attended if schooling was done at a foreign institution, and based upon the last 60 semester hours (90 quarter hours) if the student attended a U.S. institution.
Transcripts (mark sheets, school records, grades) for all post-secondary schools attended. Official English translations must be provided if the transcripts are only in the native language.
