The Master of Science program enables students to obtain an advanced chemical engineering qualification more quickly and with less research commitment than a PhD. Participants will enhance their grasp of fundamental chemical engineering concepts while cultivating independent research skills. This master's degree serves as excellent preparation for doctoral studies, given the overlapping course requirements between the programs. Coursework-Focused option: This self-financed pathway lets students broaden their chemical engineering expertise through structured courses. Degree completion requires 30 credit hours of required and elective engineering classes with a minimum 3.3 GPA, typically achievable within 16-24 months. Participants bear full financial responsibility for this track. Project-Focused option: In this self-supported alternative, students undertake an independent project, either selected with faculty guidance or through workplace collaboration. The project accounts for six credit hours alongside 24 credits of coursework. Graduation requires successfully defending the project before an academic committee. Most students finish this track within 16-24 months, with all expenses covered by the participant.
