The MEAE program follows a cohort structure, keeping students together for the full two-year duration (excluding summer terms). Applicants select from four specialized tracks: Game Arts, Game Engineering, Game Production, or Technical Art, completing coursework tailored to their chosen discipline. Alongside track-specific classes, students collaborate across specialties in courses covering game design, rapid prototyping, pre-production, and capstone projects. Each concentration offers focused elective options. The Production Track allows students to emphasize different aspects like project management, design, or business development, though most producers concentrate on enabling game development. While applicants to this track come from diverse backgrounds, prior game development experience is common. This Master's program maintains its cohort approach throughout the two academic years, with all four tracks progressing together. Students engage in both specialized coursework and interdisciplinary classes, supplemented by curated elective selections within their chosen track.
