The French Studies program within the Department of World Languages and Cultures provides students with a dynamic platform for exploring literature and culture through diverse perspectives. Our methodology embraces multiculturalism and cross-disciplinary approaches. Graduate candidates in French collaborate with peers studying German, Spanish, and Comparative Literature. Our international student body hails from across the globe, including North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. Our accomplished faculty members specialize in various aspects of French and Francophone literature, cultural studies, and linguistics. Graduate courses are conducted as interactive seminars, fostering collaborative learning and strong academic connections between students and instructors. Teaching Assistants receive comprehensive training in contemporary second-language teaching methods.
