The Graduate Programs in Health Promotion and Education offer challenging, research-focused curricula that deliver comprehensive training across the diverse fields within health promotion. These programs feature four key concentrations: 1) Physical Activity and Wellness, 2) Exercise and Chronic Conditions, 3) Cognitive and Movement Neuroscience, and 4) Community Health and Sustainable Environments. Students can further customize their professional paths through numerous specialization options. Individual academic plans are collaboratively designed with each student's advisor and dissertation committee.

Qualification Requirements

A GPA of 3.0 or higher overall or during the last two years of undergraduate work or a GPA of 3.0 or higher during graduate work.
Evidence of significant coursework in health promotion and education at the Bachelor's level.
The attainment of a bachelor's degree AND a master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
Students must receive a commitment from a faculty mentor prior to admission into the doctoral program.
A combined Verbal and Quantitative GRE score of 300 or higher.
Students who meet the criteria listed above may not be accepted due to, a high volume of more qualified applicants, no match between the student and a faculty mentor, a late application or an incomplete application.
