Created to offer University of Utah students and faculty outstanding graduate education bridging biology and chemistry. Three distinct research pathways: Biochemistry, Chemical Biology/Medicinal Chemistry, or Structural Biology/Biophysics. Select from over 55 faculty across Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Oncological Sciences, Pharmaceutics/Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and Pharmacology and Toxicology departments. Researchers cover wide-ranging fields, applying chemical or physical methods to biological challenges. Following the first year, students transition from the Program to join one of the seven science departments for thesis work under a Program faculty advisor.
