The Brass Area fosters comprehensive musical development by guiding students toward diverse objectives, from performance excellence to acquiring teaching mastery. Through weekly instruction and ensemble involvement, students hone their craft, selecting from offerings like three orchestras, wind ensemble, symphonic band, marching band, jazz groups, brass quintets, and trombone choir. Beyond learning from our distinguished faculty, students gain insights from brass luminaries including Gene Pokorny, Gail Williams, the American Brass Quintet, Marshall Gilkes, Mark Inouye, Adam Frey, Michael Mulcahy, and other renowned artists.
