The Performance Concentration is a two-year specialization offered as part of the BA in Music for students entering their third year. During their junior and senior years, participants can pursue this Music Concentration, which appears as an official credential on transcripts and demands 21 extra performance credits beyond the standard BA requirements. Concentration students benefit from masterclasses with distinguished performance faculty, complimentary accompanist hours, two years of lesson scholarships, and culminate their studies with a senior recital. This program acknowledges exceptional achievement in musical performance among Music Department majors, catering to those seeking advanced instrumental or vocal training beyond the basic BA curriculum. Both DMP students and College Arts Scholars can pursue this Concentration, which offers more rigorous performance development than either program alone provides.
