The Consumer and Community Studies (CCS) program centers on enhancing household welfare within both small communities and broader environments. Participants develop a multidisciplinary grasp of market and societal challenges across local, national, and global contexts, exploring viewpoints from consumers, corporations, nonprofit groups, and policymakers. The program features foundational coursework in research techniques, economic principles, and financial management, while specialized electives in areas like consumer wellness, public policy, and community health enable personalized academic paths. Students may pursue a Financial Planning concentration (BA/BS) to expand their professional capabilities. Complementing classroom learning, the curriculum incorporates practical community engagement and internship opportunities, equipping graduates with conflict resolution abilities and real-world experience to positively impact households and neighborhoods.
