Chemistry explores the composition, transformations, and applications of matter. The department provides nine specialized tracks, uniquely permitting students to combine two concentrations. Graduates from this program can pursue diverse career paths including industrial, governmental, or educational chemistry roles, healthcare professions like medicine or pharmacy, or fields such as environmental science, forensic analysis, business, and legal sectors. Alumni have secured positions as teachers, software engineers, and process engineers. Advanced degrees open doors to academic careers in teaching, research, or administration. Students benefit from academic support through the Learning Enhancement Center and specialized chemistry tutoring. The department also fosters community through various engagement opportunities for chemistry students.
