The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in physics offers a comprehensive undergraduate physics program while allowing flexibility to explore diverse arts and sciences courses. This degree path works exceptionally well for education or pre-med tracks. The physics and engineering physics department provides programs for Bachelor of Science (B.S.), Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in physics, and Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics (B.S.E.P.). Each curriculum builds a foundational physics knowledge base and concludes with a year-long senior thesis or research project.
The engineering physics program aims to equip students with physics and engineering expertise for technical careers in industry, academia, and continuous learning. Accordingly, its educational objectives are to prepare graduates with:
The foundational knowledge to pursue advanced degrees in various engineering disciplines or physics,
The capabilities to thrive as engineering professionals in interdisciplinary science-engineering roles, and An understanding of the value of ongoing professional growth.
