The Department of Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences provides graduate-level programs culminating in a Master of Science in Exercise Science (MSES) degree. Students can select from specializations in athletic training, exercise physiology, or exercise biology. These focus areas blend coursework, seminars, hands-on clinical practice, and research to equip graduates for diverse career paths and further academic pursuits in exercise science and allied disciplines.
The program also aims to cultivate knowledgeable practitioners who can deliver exceptional care while advancing the athletic training profession. Through this cohort-based curriculum, students enhance their expertise in classroom settings (36 credit hours) and research labs (thesis mandatory), alongside independent clinical training placements. Full-time participants typically finish the program within two years.
