Undergraduate students investigate history across its many facets, encompassing personal, organizational, governmental, and societal perspectives, as well as global and U.S. historical studies. Within UToledo's History Department, scholars immerse themselves in diverse cultures (both familiar and foreign), historical eras, and global locations.
They develop skills to formulate insightful inquiries, gather proof, assess contradictory narratives, and integrate knowledge. Those pursuing history degrees master the art of situating factual details (the individuals, occurrences, locations, and timelines) within the wider structures that define our shared human experience. They analyze and establish frameworks for comprehending historical occurrences.
