The mission of the English program is to graduate students who have mastered the principles of multimodal writing and textual interpretation, who have a sound knowledge of the development of human intellectual culture through literature, and who have developed the ability to create and analyze literary works intelligently.Whether you write song lyrics or business memos, novels or legal briefs, UT Tyler’s interdisciplinary Bachelor of Arts in English program highlights the broader applications of writing, analysis and critical thinking — from teaching high school students to working as an editor, technical writer or in the nonprofit sector or pursuing law or graduate studies.The program includes Writing with Technology and Game and Narrative Design to train students in:Data visualization and data analysisScripting and editing audio podcastsTechnical documentationDigital and Multimodal designUX and UI designGame narrative design based on literatureVideo game design based on literature
Complete an accredited high school program.     
Meet the following requirements:
Top 25% - Automatic Admissions
2nd Quartile - Minimum of 2.75 GPA
3rd Quartile - Minimum of 2.75 GPA
4th Quartile- Minimum of 2.75 GPA
