This interdisciplinary program provides avenues for in-depth biological exploration and investigation, enabling students to expand their academic horizons through graduate studies.
The Biology Master of Science program features both thesis and non-thesis pathways to accommodate diverse graduate experiences. Customized programs are developed based on each student's focus areas, working closely with their graduate advisor. Faculty research specialties span biochemistry, cell biology, developmental biology, genetics, microbiology, neuroscience, physiology, and botanical sciences.
The Integrative Biology Department grants Master of Science degrees in both Biology and Environmental Science. Graduate certification options include Environmental Science and Environmental Sustainability. The department collaborates with the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and Construction Management to offer a joint PhD program in Environmental Science and Engineering.
