The MS in Advanced Materials Engineering (MS-MatE) program equips graduate students with cutting-edge technical expertise and skills essential for autonomous critical analysis, troubleshooting, and strategic decision-making to tackle complex challenges in materials engineering. This interdisciplinary degree combines research training with business acumen development and leadership in technology management.
Alumni will possess specialized knowledge and problem-solving abilities concerning material synthesis, analysis, design, and implementation. Those focusing on biomedical materials will be particularly prepared to meet the expanding demands of the biotechnology sector.
UTSA's Klesse College of Engineering and Integrated Design offers this interdisciplinary graduate program, overseen by the Advanced Materials Engineering Graduate Program Committee and managed through the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
