Students earning the four-year Construction Science and Management (CSM) degree gain access to diverse career paths across the professional construction sector, spanning both office and fieldwork environments.
The Construction Science Department fosters strong industry ties via its Construction Industry Advisory Council (CIAC). Beyond awarding numerous scholarships, the CIAC supports service initiatives, mentorship programs, classroom presentations, and employment opportunities while organizing social activities like networking events, tailgate parties, culinary contests, athletic competitions, and educational excursions.
A defining aspect of the KCEID program involves participating in either an internship, research initiative, international study opportunity, or community service project. These hands-on experiences allow students to implement classroom knowledge while cultivating valuable skills for their professional journey toward an ambitious future.
The School of Civil & Environmental Engineering and Construction Management provides an ACCE-accredited construction science and management bachelor's program, blending construction science, design, and business education to prepare future industry leaders. The 120-credit degree (including Core Curriculum) requires at least 39 upper-division credits. Graduates with a B.S. in Construction Science and Management qualify for management roles across various construction industry sectors, while also being well-prepared for advanced academic pursuits.
