UTSA's Civil Engineering program equips you with essential fundamentals through design projects and hands-on laboratory activities. You will also have multiple chances to participate in innovative, interdisciplinary research. Throughout your studies, you will integrate knowledge from mathematics and physical sciences to explore diverse subjects such as highway engineering, fluid mechanics, and steel design. Upon graduation, you can utilize your skills to construct and design vital public infrastructure, including roads, bridges, water supply networks, community spaces, and more. A defining experience for KCEID students involves an internship, research project, study abroad opportunity, or service learning initiative. By undertaking any of these, you will apply classroom learning and cultivate valuable skills to steer your path toward a Bold Future.
The School of Civil & Environmental Engineering, and Construction Management provides an ABET-accredited bachelor's degree in civil engineering. The School is dedicated to excellence in teaching, research, and service to both the community and the profession. The Civil Engineering program's mission is to deliver an education that merges fundamental science and engineering skills with design principles to address engineering challenges. Our program offers students pathways to graduate education, lifelong learning abilities, and involvement in research that advances the field and serves society. Students will be equipped to become professional engineers and leaders in the Civil & Environmental Engineering field.
