Our biology program immerses students in genetics, physiology, chemistry, and physics. At advanced levels, you can specialize in one of five focus areas: Developmental and Regenerative Sciences, Ecology, Plant Biology, Premedical Sciences, or Biology 7-12 Teaching. Students declare their specialization after admission and consultation with an academic advisor. This versatile program opens doors to various career paths in biological sciences, healthcare, research, industry, and education.
The Integrative Biology Department's goal is to educate, motivate, and support students and diverse communities through an extensive curriculum, innovative teaching methods, and cooperative research. We examine life's complexities and the elements affecting it, seeking to comprehend how biological processes maintain life and drive innovation across all organizational levels - from molecular to cellular, organismal to ecological, and global scales.
