The Bachelor of Science in Biology program is designed for students with a wide-ranging interest in biological sciences who desire considerable flexibility in crafting their academic path. It caters to those aiming for careers in biology, ecology, conservation, or natural history; pursuing health-related professional programs (such as physician assistant, occupational therapy, or medical school); obtaining public school teaching certification; or acquiring diverse laboratory skills. The Biology B.S. mandates extensive coursework in biological sciences along with mathematics and physical sciences concepts, while offering numerous elective options. Students must complete the Core Biology B.S. curriculum and then choose a specialization track: Biomedical Sciences (BMS), Ecology and Conservation Biology (ECB), or Integrative Organismal Biology (IOB).
