Whether your goal is to work as a professional artist, arts educator, performer, or scholar, UTSA's studio art programs provide exceptional mentorship to develop your creative and contemporary skills. The BFA program combines rigorous studio work with complementary art history and criticism studies, while the BA program emphasizes foundational training, specialized studio practices, and comprehensive art history education.
At UTSA, student success is our priority. Through experiential learning, classroom knowledge transforms into real-world application. As a COLFA student, you'll examine, participate in, and learn from experiences that prepare you for a global career. The COLFA Student Success Center offers centralized support for academic, personal, and professional growth, providing tutoring, internship connections, industry networking, and professional skill development through diverse programs.
UTSA holds State Board for Educator Certification approval, enabling teaching certification recommendations across bachelor's degree programs. BFA students may select an Art teaching certification specialization.
