Through COLFA's Signature Experience initiative, which emphasizes practical application of classroom knowledge, the Department recommends enrollment in experiential courses like Internships, Independent Studies, Study Abroad programs, and Research Practicums. Students can earn 3-6 credit hours toward their degree through supervised internship placements that combine academic concepts with professional practice.
