This interdisciplinary combined major equips undergraduate students with a comprehensive understanding of 20th-century global affairs and international relations. The program explores multifaceted theories spanning interstate dynamics (including conflict, cooperation, and power structures), civil society organizations, transnational advocacy groups, worldwide social movements, political systems, governing bodies, and the interplay between states and societies (covering democratic and authoritarian systems, social disparities, and civic participation). As part of the College of Social Sciences and Humanities, this international affairs program cultivates academic proficiency, cultural competence, and leadership capabilities necessary for success in our interconnected global community, while fostering responsible global engagement. Our globally diverse faculty brings extensive research experience, with particular expertise in peacebuilding and conflict resolution, international legal frameworks, and the intersection of gender, ethnicity, and urban spaces in global politics.
