A Philosophy degree covers diverse subjects including philosophical history, logic, science philosophy, aesthetics, and beyond. The curriculum explores fundamental philosophical questions, classical and modern thought, ethical reasoning, and theories of knowledge and existence. Through this program, you'll hone analytical reasoning, attentive reading, precise writing, and structured problem-solving abilities—qualities sought after across all professions.
The Philosophy and Classics Department provides Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) programs in Classical Studies, Humanities, and Philosophy. Students can pursue minors in Classical Studies, Humanities, Philosophy, or Religious Studies, with honors options available in Classical Studies, Humanities, and Philosophy.
