UTSA's Film and Media Studies program provides a distinctive educational experience unmatched in the region. The Bachelor of Arts in Film and Media Studies integrates three key areas (film history, cultural studies, and production) into a curriculum designed to cultivate analytical thinking, writing proficiency, creative expertise, and professional work samples. Students can choose from over 40 diverse courses covering subjects like scriptwriting, digital content creation, cinematic history, representations of race and gender in media, film scoring, and political themes in cinema - enabling personalized degree paths aligned with individual aspirations. The program concludes with a collaborative senior capstone and internship opportunities across various non-profit organizations, businesses, and film productions.
