UTSA offers two NASAD-accredited studio art degrees for students pursuing an Art degree. If you dream of being a professional artist, arts educator, performer, or scholar, UTSA's studio art program provides ideal mentorship to develop your creative and contemporary skills. The BFA program combines rigorous studio work with art history and criticism studies, while the BA emphasizes foundational training, specialized studio practices, and extensive art history coursework.

As a COLFA student, you'll examine, participate in, and learn from experiences that prepare you for a global career. The COLFA Student Success Center offers centralized support for academic, personal, and professional growth, providing tutoring, internship connections, industry networking, and skill-building programs.
UTSA holds State Board for Educator Certification approval, enabling teaching certification recommendations across bachelor's degree programs. BFA candidates may select an Art teaching certification specialization.
