The Graduate Certificate in Gender and Women's Studies (GWS) encourages cross-disciplinary and intersectional exploration focused on examining women, gender, and sexuality. This certification falls under the academic programs offered by the Gender and Women's Studies Program, located within the School of Interdisciplinary Programs and Community Engagement.
This program enhances students' educational experience across diverse fields such as Anthropology, Art, Biology, Criminal Justice, Economics, Engineering, Health Services, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Social Work, and Sociology, among others. By promoting interdisciplinary thinking and discussion, the Certificate prepares students to drive societal transformation and pursue professional paths in sectors like business, education, healthcare, global development, media, medicine, and technology across various employment landscapes.
To earn the certificate, students must successfully finish three courses totaling nine credit hours.
