The Bachelor's program in History with Teacher Certification equips students with the expertise and abilities required to teach history at the secondary level (grades 7-12) in Texas. The curriculum includes foundational classes in U.S. history, world history, and Texas history, along with specialized upper-level courses and electives. Pedagogical training prepares graduates for teaching careers in high schools.
UTRGV has authorization from the State Board of Educator Certification to endorse program completers for teaching credentials upon fulfilling all degree requirements.
