Advance your exploration of the universe by pursuing a Master of Science in Physics. The department provides a curriculum and research opportunities leading to an MS in Physics, offering two distinct pathways. Option 1 consists of 30 credit hours: 24 hours of coursework plus a six-hour thesis (PHYS 5398 and PHYS 5399). Option 2 requires approval from the Physics Department Graduate Studies Committee and involves 36 hours of coursework, including completion of a research project (PHYS 5391) with a formal written report submitted to the department.
