Environmental Science stands as one of today's most crucial and dynamic disciplines. The University of Texas at El Paso's Environmental Science program provides four specialized pathways focusing on distinct areas: Environmental Biology, Environmental Chemistry, Environmental Geoscience, and Environmental Hydroscience. Additionally, students can pursue a concentration for Secondary Teacher Certification (grades 7-12). Our curriculum equips graduates with both foundational knowledge and analytical abilities to thrive across various sectors—be it industry, government, or academic pursuits. The program incorporates hands-on training in environmental sampling, data interpretation, technical reporting, and professional presentations. Career readiness is woven throughout the experience, with all students conducting faculty-mentored research and completing at least one professional internship.
