The program offers specialized certificates in Applied Cultural Anthropology and Applied Cultural Heritage Management. What makes UTEP's Anthropology program unique is its emphasis on the U.S.-Mexico borderlands, environmental justice, migration studies, and medical sociology/anthropology.
