The Master of Science in Applied Cognition and Neuroscience (ACN) program is an interdisciplinary graduate program that combines methodologies from psychology, neuroscience, computer science, and philosophy.
The Neuroscience specialization allows students to explore the brain through multiple lenses - including systems, cellular, and molecular approaches - to understand how these systems interact and influence behavioral patterns.
The Cognition and Neuroscience specialization offers a versatile curriculum for studying mental processes and brain functions. Students in this track learn to combine behavioral research techniques with neuroscience methods to examine the neural basis of cognition.
The Computational Modeling/Intelligent Systems specialization delivers advanced training in creating mathematical and computer-based simulations of brain functions and behavior, along with developing artificial intelligence systems.
The Human-Computer Interaction specialization prepares students for careers focused on user experience, including usability engineering and designing intuitive interfaces between humans and technology.
The Neurological Diagnosis and Monitoring specialization provides expert training in functional brain imaging techniques (EEG, SPECT, PET, fMRI) for both clinical and research applications, as well as preparation for careers in Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring. Each specialization also serves as strong preparation for doctoral studies in Cognition and Neuroscience or professional medical programs.
