Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) is a fast-growing discipline requiring specialized technical expertise, quick analytical reasoning skills, and comprehensive knowledge of supporting data for national security and intelligence operations. Instruction occurs in cutting-edge facilities within the Geospatial Information Sciences program at the School of Economic, Political and Policy Sciences. This certification involves completing 15 graduate-level credit hours (5 courses) as outlined. All certificate coursework applies toward the Master of Science in Geospatial Information Sciences degree and can be pursued alongside the Graduate Certificates in Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing.
Students seeking the Geospatial Intelligence certificate must have completed an undergraduate degree and should apply as “Graduate Certificate in Geospatial Intelligence” students.
