The UT Dallas Graduate Certificate in Business Intelligence and Data Mining focuses on both theoretical foundations and practical skills for implementing business intelligence and data mining solutions in organizational settings. Students gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge tools including SAS Enterprise Miner, XL Miner, SAP Business Data Warehousing, and R.
Program participants will achieve these key competencies:
Acquire fundamental understanding of business intelligence systems and their real-world uses.
Master the statistical foundations that support data mining approaches.
Gain proficiency in essential business intelligence and data mining methodologies.
Utilize business intelligence and data mining strategies to address practical business challenges.
Admission to graduate-level certificate programs requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent and an undergraduate record indicative of readiness for graduate work. Many certificate programs do not require admissions tests such as the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) unless or until a student seeks admission to a related master's program.
