The Community and Regional Planning (CRP) Program provides a distinctive dual degree option in partnership with the Teresa Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies (LLILAS). This program equips students with essential technical and analytical abilities to tackle planning challenges while exploring the cultural, economic, and geographical dynamics specific to Latin America.
Through LLILAS's multidisciplinary framework, students can investigate various aspects of modern Latin America. The curriculum integrates perspectives from anthropology, economics, geography, political science, sociology, and urban planning. CRP prepares graduates for careers in Latin American development across public, private, and nonprofit sectors, focusing on pressing urbanization and policy challenges in the region.
Additionally, the dual degree program facilitates hands-on learning experiences in Latin America through research projects, internships, and service opportunities, available through formal coursework, structured programs, and faculty-led initiatives.
