The Master of Architecture (MArch) serves as an accredited initial professional qualification. This program meets the educational criteria for architectural licensure and caters to students with either no prior architecture education or those holding a four-year pre-architecture bachelor's degree seeking to pursue architecture professionally. Recognized as a STEM program by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, the MArch degree provides expanded research funding possibilities and enhanced career prospects for international students.
Starting Fall 2020, applicants admitted to The University of Austin School of Architecture will enroll in either the standard 3-year MArch program or an accelerated 2-year version with advanced standing. The Graduate Adviser assesses each candidate's qualifications to determine eligibility for the advanced standing option based on their architectural education background.
