The Neuroscience Graduate Program operates under The Institute for Neuroscience (INS), a university-wide entity overseeing neuroscience research and education. This interdisciplinary program involves over 80 neuroscientists across 13 departments, fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration and learning. INS research spans the entire spectrum of neuroscience, incorporating molecular studies, genetics, physiology, cellular systems, cognitive functions, behavior, and disease mechanisms. With its exceptional faculty diversity, the program offers graduate students exceptional research possibilities and cultivates analytical thinkers proficient in comprehensive neuroscience methodologies and theories.
All applicants must meet the minimum criteria for admissions set by the University Of Texas Office Of Graduate Studies and the Neuroscience Graduate Program:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
GPA of 3.0
For international students whose native language is not English a TOEFL score of 550 (paper), 213 (computer-based) or 79 (internet-based) OR an overall band of 6.5 on the IELTS
