This program enables students to pursue in-depth studies and research culminating in either a Master of Science or Doctor of Philosophy degree. Alumni embark on diverse career paths as engineers, researchers, innovators, astronauts, executives, and industry leaders in aerospace engineering.
Our curriculum facilitates specialized study and research for both the Master of Science in Engineering and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in aerospace engineering. While a Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineering or a related engineering discipline is the typical requirement, applicants with science or mathematics backgrounds may also qualify, though they may need to complete additional undergraduate coursework to address any gaps.
This specialization encompasses research and coursework in composite material mechanics, fracture analysis, nano/micro-scale material behavior, biomaterials, soft materials, constitutive modeling, high-speed mechanical responses, structural evaluation, and stability analysis.
