The Bachelor of Science in Interior Design (BSID) is a four-year accredited program recognized by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA). This design-focused curriculum combines theoretical foundations with practical problem-solving, addressing aesthetic, technological, and human factors in design.
The University of Texas at Austin's Interior Design Program approaches interior spaces as complex systems with significant social and environmental impacts. Its curriculum, resources, and opportunities blend theory and practice to prepare students for real-world design challenges. Core studio courses act as creative hubs where students develop professional skills through hands-on projects, integrating knowledge from all areas of study to solve design problems innovatively.
If you are an international applicant, you must have completed an accredited secondary school series equivalent to that of a U.S. high school.
Minimum scores acceptable for admission are:
TOEFL: 79 (internet-based test)
IELTS: An overall band of 6.5 on the Academic Examination
