This program enables students to pursue dual majors, customizable to align with diverse interests spanning music, liberal arts, or advanced sciences like mathematics, physics, and biology. Serving as a strong foundation for careers in business management, environmental law, or medicine, it also provides opportunities for specialized focus within geoscience disciplines. Fieldwork is a cornerstone of the Jackson School undergraduate curriculum, beginning with introductory geology and extending to intensive summer field courses. Unlike many earth science programs that have reduced field offerings, we've enhanced ours, adding courses in hydrogeology and marine sciences. Students gain hands-on experience both internationally and within Texas's remarkable geological landscapes, home to some of the planet's most extensively researched sites. Generous support from alumni and donors helps fund field excursions, making extended summer courses more accessible.
